 I have been on quite a flower painting jag lately, and still have more to come.  I spent last April in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and was inspired by the beautiful show from Mother Nature.  Flowers were everywhere, especially the trees and bushes.

Last fall, we took a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  It was a crisp, sunny day and my camera was busy clicking away.

It's hard to go wrong with a blue and yellow painting.....it just shouts "Cheerful".  The background was painted  with a brush, but I used a palette knife on the flowers and grasses.  That's when it started to be really fun!
